After Rain

Posted in Poetry, writing with tags , , , , on August 8, 2009 by dustus

Rain sounds crash
Thunderous pane-pinging splash
Humid swelling tension
Pressure not only invention

Dusty plant on the window ledge
Grand the sounds that Chopin bled…

Careless lines, alarming haste
Life too brief, aim not to waste
All of my time, cherished kind
Virtuous being friendship finds

Through glints and shadows
Bowers and lies
Anger fallen
Accompanied sighs

Storm-tempered mettle
Weather you never remain
Sun burst through to flood the room
Shimmering earth after rain
