Glass Flowers

Seasons wither tones
You’ll fade under rains
Thin wine stems break
Through hurricanes

All care required
Not sale for display
Can’t live and breathe
Without soil decay

Think true beauty
The one to pick
Must stand for a misfit

To some a surprise
Glass flowers can’t blush
Being fashioned artificial
They could never miss us

Exquisite Fate

Posted in Blog, Image Poetry, Poetry, writing with tags , , , , , , , , on January 12, 2010 by dustus

Conscious for the moment’s place
A priori time and space
Thinking life surprised as minutes
Time repeats concentric limits

Color bleeding clouds that cover
Saturated sponges hover
See if you can spy a face
Skylights fallout
Chartered grace

Sunlit canvass tones and hues
Frozen in a state of bloom
As far as we may contemplate
Earth revolves exquisite fate

Original Sins

Posted in Poetry, writing with tags , , , , on July 29, 2009 by dustus

Afraid to feel
Scared to live
These are my 2
Original Sins

Life can seem empty
Guilt-laden bare
All of one’s hopes
In grieving repair

Birds tremble sound
Rejoicing kind fate
Time we inherit
Dare to be great

Must be yourself
Bruised-tender flaws
One thing is certain:
Mind beauty strong

If lost among knots
Find love within
Be bold, honest, true
Original Wins!
