Never Know
We ran and
I still
See you there
Wind, some mingles
Shy and scared
You hid half-smiles
Behind curled hair
Highlight-tinted
Sun caught glare
Heart trying to escape my throat
My chest full-anxious butterflies float
Slightly embarrassed over I wrote…
Like back in high school
Passing notes
Falling warm autumn
Itten‘s dreams
Brisk with sharp clouds covering
Skies intoned gray, crunch under feet
Ashen cedars
Smells of clean evergreen
Fire hearths
Songs to sing
Aorta walls trembling
You never know just what you mean
Random patterns in nature’s scheme
Focused on waning ember gleam
Cycles through time
Projections framed
Your past on a loop
Tick until fade
